Wednesday 7th February, 2018 – Pilot Colin Murraine has received bail after his attorneys petitioned a High Court Judge today.
The pilot was charged following a drug bust last week on a private aircraft that yielded more than one and a half million E.C dollars in cocaine.
Justice Clare Henry granted bail in the amount of 4.5 million dollars with a cash component of $450 thousand dollars with two sureties. Among his bail conditions, Murraine is to surrender his travel documents and must report to the police daily.
He will return to court in April, when committal proceedings will begin.
The Paynters resident is facing charges of possession cocaine, exportation of cocaine, being in concern in the supply of cocaine and trafficking in cocaine.
Last Friday morning, officers of the Office of National Drug Control and Money Laundering Policy (ONDCP) interdicted a private charter plane that was preparing for takeoff at V.C Bird International Airport and discovered the cocaine, which weighed more than 100 pounds in suitcases.
Three persons who were detained along with Colin Murraine were released from police custody.
