Monday 5th February, 2018 – Repair work on homes and other buildings in Barbuda is expected to accelerate with the arrival of construction supplies.
Attention is being placed on buildings in the levels one and two categories, where the majority of work is concentrated.
Director of the National Office of Disaster Services (NODS), Philmore Mullin explains that with an increase in manpower, repairs will pick up pace.
Mullin is lauding the involvement of international agencies in the re-building efforts of Barbuda. He noted that several of them are on the ground giving of their time and resources. While government welcomes their assistance, they have been instructed that the re-building programme is being undertaken with strict regulations in place.
